India vs Afghanistan 3rd T20I: Abhishek Sharma's 30-Ball Century Seals 3-0 Sweep

Abhishek Sharma smashed a record 30-ball century as India defeated Afghanistan by 127 runs at Arun Jaitley Stadium to complete a 3-0 T20I series clean sweep.

India completed a dominant 3-0 series clean sweep over Afghanistan after defeating them by 127 runs in the third and final international T20 match at Arun Jaitley Stadium. The decisive performance came from young opener Abhishek Sharma, who created a stir in the cricket world by smashing a record century in just 30 balls. His individual score of 108 runs was more than Afghanistan managed to score as a team.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Abhishek Sharma reached his half-century in just 16 balls and powered India to an historic 100 runs without loss during the Powerplay. He then completed his century in only 30 balls in the ninth over, setting a world record for the fastest century across all three formats of international cricket among Full Member nations of the ICC.

With the feat, Abhishek surpassed the previous record held by South Africa's AB de Villiers, who had scored a century in 31 balls.

Abhishek was dismissed for 108 runs in the 10th over, with India's score standing at 1 wicket for 142 runs. India, however, then suffered a batting collapse, losing six wickets for just 79 runs over the next 10 overs.

India's 127-run victory secured a 3-0 clean sweep in the three-match series, with Abhishek Sharma's record-breaking 30-ball century emerging as the defining performance of the final match.
